flipflo Over thirteen hundred invitations for the Tour of Homes kick off event, Spring Break Bash, were delivered to alpha boxes on Sunday, March 7. Created by an enthusiastic committee co-chaired by Louise Prescott and Lonnie Puhger, the unique invites detail all you will need to know to reserve a place at this ever-popular annual event scheduled for Saturday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m. at the Indoor Tennis Center. Flip-flops are not REQUIRED, of course, but the fund-raiser promises to be a very relaxed and fun party.

Talk of the Town, exclusive caterer of The Chimneys at Big Canoe, will be serving Island Grilled Shrimp & Pineapple and Vidalia Onion Strudel appetizers while guests shop at the silent auction and sip wine, margueritas or soft drinks from the cash bar. A special souvenir glass, decorated with an iconic Big Canoe critter out of hibernation and ready for Spring Break, will be available. Supplies will be limited, so be sure to pick one up at check in ($5.00 each.)

At 7:00 a beach-inspired cocktail buffet will strengthen bidders’ resolve to win exactly the right home improvement, heart-stopping “bling,” or dream getaway at the live auction, which begins at 8:00 p.m. Professional auctioneer Robin Huff will join us again this year while Austin McGonigle, founder of the Georgia Speakers Bureau, will make his debut as our Master of Ceremonies. Our very own BC “Beach” Boys will be playing all our favorite sounds of the 60’s…from beach, to rock, to whatever brings spring break to mind!

Dust off your dancing shoes, turn up the beach music and be sure to be at Stand-Around on Sunday, March 21, between 10-10:30 a.m. or 12:00-1:00 p.m. to make your reservation for Spring Break Bash. Tickets are $60. Checks are payable to Big Canoe Tour of Homes. For table of 10, please include full payment of $600 with names of guests to be seated together.
