As in past years, Friday, April 30, will be Big Canoe Day for Big Canoe residents and their friends. There will be no buses on this day; instead those attending will travel the tour route in their own cars, with car pooling strongly encouraged. There will be four tour times on Friday—9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 and 2:45 p.m.
On Saturday, May 1, tour participants from outside Big Canoe will park at the Wildcat Pavilion parking lot inside the North Gate. Air-conditioned, 24-passenger buses will shuttle visitors to the Broyles Center where they will begin their tour of the homes.
Tour buses will depart from the Broyles Center every 15 minutes beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the last bus leaving at 2:15 p.m.
It takes between two to three hours to complete the tour. Be sure to allow plenty of additional time before or after your tour to visit the Marketplace, Book Nook, Collectors’ Corner, Bear Paw Bakery and the Crazy Bear Café at the Broyles Center.
Friday, April 30, is Big Canoe Day and limited to self-directed tours by Big Canoe residents and property owners. The Tour is open to the public on Saturday, May 1, when guests will visit the homes via comfortable climate-controlled motor coaches.
