Memories, Music and an Auction to remember

The Spring Break Bash on Saturday, April 24, at the transformed indoor tennis center promises to whisk you back to your favorite beach with memories and music from the 1950s and 60s. Beginning at 5:30 pm, the party includes both a silent and a live auction.
The generosity of our donors is simply inspiring! Readers of the March Smoke Signals are already aware that the live auction includes fabulous vacations, great home improvements and a fantasy football package. Now we have confirmation that the auction will include a gold and diamond bracelet featuring 21 princess diamonds and a pair of Cartier sunglasses, one of the first made when Cartier introduced its Vendome collection to the U.S. Loren and Barbara Rozeboom will host a gourmet dinner for eight lucky diners and just in …seven days of adventure and fellowship on a cruise to the Western Caribbean.
There is also an opportunity for twenty guys or gals, who are willing to offer $200 for the privilege, to become members of the LifeSaver Society and have the honor of wearing a very special cap. Watch for this to really light up the Special Event!
Something for everyone at the Silent Auction
The silent auction will have 10 tables offering more than 150 irresistible items. Visit one or all of the tables, but remember to keep checking back and Be young, be foolish, but be happy! Other tables will offer vacations, items for your home and garden, and something to challenge your mind and spirit. But if you are looking for the art work of over 60 Big Canoe artists, visit Are you warm, are you real, Mona Lisa? Art work will be displayed in the tennis center and in the exercise room. Finally, feeling the need to relax? Try Sittin’ on the dock of the bay, wastin’ time for arts and leisure offerings.
The Spring Break Bash is the party you and your friends will remember for a long time, but by placing that extra bid you will also be helping those in need in Pickens and Dawson counties.
